NALANDA is a well-established Resource Centre for Educational Innovation, with its primary office in Lucknow, and field offices in Gaya and Ranchi. Its principal goal is to enable the children from vulnerable sections, particularly rural areas, avail quality basic education. It has been promoted to work towards a system of basic education, which makes the child the centre of any educational venture. It is focused towards building on and extending educational ideas to support and reach institutions denied quality support within Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand.

For the past twenty years, Nalanda has worked intensively as a resource centre to provide academic and project support to various government and non-government agencies working on elementary education. Nalanda has built up successful partnerships with the government primary education system, UNICEF and other agencies working on education. Some of the flagship programs of Nalanda are the Madarsas Program – an intervention to strengthen elementary education in Madarsas, Tribal children education program, Girl children education program and programs for NGOs to strengthen their capacity to learn quality education based initiatives.

Job Title: ITE (Integration of Technology in Education) Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are looking for an Facilitator who can work with rural children and adolescents to develop their 21st-century life skills and effective integration of technology in their education. The Facilitator will be responsible for facilitating technology-integrated learning activities, providing technical support, and promoting the effective use of technology in education in government schools and in the centers established in the community. She/he will be also responsible for the development of life skills among the beneficiary children and adolescents in view of 21st century skills and organizing school library activities at schools and community centers .


Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate technology-integrated learning activities for rural children and adolescents studying in government schools / affiliated Madarsas.
  • Deliver training programs for teachers and students on the effective use of technology in education and life skills education.
  • Provide technical and academic support to students and teachers in the use of technology and life skills education.
  • Promote the effective use of technology and life skills education in schools and communities among students, teachers, and community members.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop technology-integrated and life skills-based lesson plans in order to develop technology driven teaching learning process.
  • Organize effective class room library activities in teaching learning processes in order to improve learning outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of technology integration on student learning outcomes.
  • Prepare and submit reports on the progress of the ITE program.

  • Education Qualification and Skill Set Required::

  • Graduation/Bachelor's degree in Education/Computer Science/life skills, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in teaching, teacher training, or education technology .
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
  • Knowledge of educational technology platforms and tools.
  • Experience in facilitating technology-integrated learning activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a rural setting and travel extensively.
  • Fluency in Hindi and working knowledge of English.
  • Have strong sensitivity towards gender, minority and women’s related issues.
